As I will be reserving campsites for this meetup, I will need to collect funds soon so that there are available spaces. Please check your calendars and RSVP soon so that I can have a  count of what we will need. My own previous experiences knows that these sites fill up fast so I hope to reserve sites by the end of February to get good sites (hoping they will still be there). It seems Washington State parks now requires payments to reserve spaces. If you would like to be part of the reserved spots, I will need funds no later then February 15th. At this point, $12 per person should take care of the reservations with 8 people per spot. This will include covering the rental cost for each campsite plus the additional fees they add for reserving online or via phone… If we need to make additional payments for whatever reason, this will be added later. However, at this point it doesn’t seem that anything else will cost the group. The visit to the Stonehenge is free. I am working to see if we can reserve at time at the area as I have seen that other groups also hold the summer solstice rituals there, however, it may be a matter of waiting our turn. 🙂 It’s going to be great fun! I can’t wait!!!

Of course anyone is welcome to come. However, it will be a matter of finding places to camp or day tripping beyond our February reservation deadline.

Preliminary cost will be $78 per site for two nights, the 19th and the 20th. This is for the two tents allowed on each camp site and 8 people. These are regular tents site in the Maryhill State park Camping Area, sites 52-71. At this cost, the fees will be  $12 per person for the camping. There is also a $10 per night extra car fee. (I would like to see if we can find a place where maybe we can leave extra cars and carpool in. I will let you know.)

We will potluck the event on Saturday afternoon evening, everyone, as always, bring your own drinks and a dish to share. Everyone attending will hopefully RSVP here (I will add RSVP from our Facebook and Google+ sites that do not wander over here). The rest of the weekend will be your own responsibility. I will be reserving spaces from Friday, June 19th to Sunday, June 21st… check-in is at 2:30 and checkout at noon. There are extra car fees (each site is allowed one car.) I will post additional fees here soon along with the total needed for the event.

I will also post additional recreation activities in the area as we get closer to the event. I have already been told about a wine tasting in the area. There is, of course, Maryhill Castle and art Gallery, and many other activities in the area.

These are some pics of the Maryhill Stonehenge Monument along with a link. It’s about a 3-4 hour drive from Tacoma.

Ostara Ritual and Celebration

Hello all,

The  time is coming upon us fast as the Spring Equinox approaches and we get ready for your Ostara Event. Come join us for a ritual (possibly outdoors weather pending) and Potluck as we welcome Spring back for 2015. We will be decorating eggs, maybe planting starting more flower seeds, and celebrating with all of our friends.

It will be happening on March 21st. The location and time will be determined closer to the day as we watch the weather.
